A holiday air is blowing at Sequoia, the rooftop of the Kimpton Saint-Honoré hotel. For the summer, this Parisian address unveils a taco bar that delights us while enjoying a magnificent panorama with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, the Opéra Garnier and many other Parisian monuments.
The sun shines on Paris and the summer spots flourish in the four corners of the capital. Each summerthem best spots of the City of Lights offer us novelties sunny, determined to make the most of the Parisians of a day and always of the summer season. Between the new terraces, the amazing rooftops or the festive open air, everyone goes in search of best addresses !
This time, we meet in the Opera districton the Boulevard des Capucines. At number 27, a sublime art nouveau facade catches the eye of passers-by. Yes, it is difficult to miss the Kimpton Saint-Honore without seeingr. Passing through the doors of this beautiful address, you immerse yourself in a universe that composes an ode to the Parisian art of living. But this time, it’s not for the Montecito that we’re here.
While the beautiful days are back in the capital, it’s time to take to the skies. So we board the elevator, heading for the 10th floor. Upon arrival, the doors open and the scent of jasmine captivates us as we walk along the Sequoia sun terrace, the second hotel restaurant. Gradually the magnificent panorama of the capital unfolds. Slightly overhanging the surrounding Parisian rooftops, this rooftop offers us a breathtaking view. The Eiffel Towerthe Invalides, the Opéra Garnier, the Sacré-Coeur… the most beautiful Parisian monuments surround us and we could almost pick them with our fingertips!
The reason that will have brought us to come here is not only this fabulous view. For this summer 2022, Sequoia decided to take us on a journey by revealing a taco bar. It’s hard to resist this flagship Mexican street-food dish… even less so when you find it in such a setting!
So it’s time to discover the menu “Let’s Tacos about it” which awaits us for lunch on a unique format: three Tacos among the three recipes offered on a base of corn pancake, pico de gallo, red cabbage pickles, fresh pepper and coriander. It should be noted that the products used are mainly in short circuit ! From there, it’s up to you to choose and mix the flavors or not according to your desires. Our curiosity will have pushed us to take one of each: chicken, grilled fish or seasonal vegetable (vegan). As soon as ordered, the chef gets busy behind his corner and prepares the tacos per minute.
The result: the Tacos are fresh, well scented, and savored on their own. They are also served with tortilla chips and a homemade guacamolenot. Expertly raised with a nice touch of acidity, it is also found in the composition of tacos and it brings a touch of sufficient pep so that you can do without lemon. Moreover, in the evening, tacos remain on the menu but this time in a format tapas to accompany the signature cocktails.
