Risks of Salmonella: Carrefour recalls sausage

As the authorities point out, the “food poisoning caused by by salmonella result in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset, often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people, and the elderly.

Anyone who has eaten this sausage and who presents these symptoms is advised to consult their doctor, informing them that they have eaten a product contaminated with salmonella. In the absence of symptoms within seven days of consuming the contaminated products, however, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor.
