These last months, Regine Elmaleh, the mother of comedian Gad Elmaleh, has been making a buzz since she launched, at the beginning of 2022, in the marketing of her couscous. A company in which she has partnered with Clément Benoît, the founder of the start-up Not So Dark, which offers a concept of virtual catering.
Walida couscous by the end of May 2022
After being established in several cities in France, notably Nantes, the couscous made in Elmaleh will land in Toulouse. “We will be able to order couscous Walida within a fortnight”, indicates to Toulouse News Sarrah, development manager of Not So Dark in the Pink City.
The principle: orders are made on the Uber Eats and Deliveroo platforms (Eatic is not yet available in Toulouse) and the dishes are prepared in partner restaurants before being delivered.
A vegetarian burger while waiting for the couscous
Before having the opportunity to taste the famous Walida couscous, Not So Dark launched its first dish on order: a vegetarian burgerthe Vegetal. Currently, Not So Dark, which launched in early May 2022 in Toulouse, works with more than ten partner restaurants in the four corners of the Pink City. But the company does not communicate the names of these restaurants where these burgers are made and then delivered to your home…
An additional step in these virtual restaurants
After the opening of dark kitchens with clearly identifiable facades (Popafood at the Chalets and Foodie avenue Camille Pujol), the arrival of Not So Dark marks an additional step in the establishment of these virtual restaurants in the 4and city in France. It promises fast home delivery for customers and increased turnover for partner restaurants.
